Drew Hanfland b. 2005 Effingham, Illinois
Drew Hanfland is a multi-disciplinary artist and woodworker based in Effingham, Illinois. His work exhibits a wide variety of materials and concepts with the goal of enhancing this life through art.
Drew immersed himself in the art programs provided at his high school, and just a month after graduation, he signed a lease to his first studio and committed to this creative practice. His studio now houses a full woodworking shop, painting studio and resources for other creative outlets like filmmaking, photography, sculpture and ceramics. His aspirations build a space of opportunity for the passionate and open new ideas like workshops, film studies, and other creative events.
He is taught by massively consuming YouTube’s creative department, following his role models for years and learning from their experience. To name a few, Bob Clagett (I Like to Make Stuff), Jimmy DiResta, David Picciuto (Make Something), Laura Kampf, Adam Savage, SLEW, the Neistat Brothers and good friend Miles Menely (Make with Miles).
